Make your own Bisquick
4 1/2 cups flour
2 T. sugar
1 T. plus 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 cup dry milk
Mix together and store in air tight container. Use in any recipe that calls for baking mix/Bisquick.
Now that you have Bisquick, you can make these yummy biscuits!
Cheesy Garlic Biscuits
2 cups Bisquick
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
2/3 cup milk
Combine dry ingredients. Add milk and stir. Use two teaspoons to scrape biscuit "globs" on a parchment lined baking sheet (the parchment probably isn't necessary, I just like the ease of using it). Bake 10 minutes in a preheated 400 degree oven. Meanwhile combine...
2 T. butter, melted
2 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. garlic salt
When the biscuits come out, brush with the butter mixture and return to oven for 5 more minutes. You can brush them again when they come out if desired.
